Commercial cookery is usually delivered as a Certificate III followed by a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery, both nationally recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework. As an indicative guide, total tuition for these VET-level qualifications commonly ranges from around AUD 8,000 to AUD 18,000, depending on whether you complete one or both certificates. These figures are indicative only and vary by provider and location.
A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery typically takes around 12 months, and continuing to a Certificate IV usually brings the combined study to roughly 18 months to two years, including the substantial practical kitchen and work-integrated learning hours the industry requires. Most providers offer several intakes a year, commonly in February, April or May, July, and October, so you can usually find a start date that suits your visa plan.
Because cookery is offered by many registered providers with different kitchen facilities and placement arrangements, fees vary. Active Study helps you choose a provider with strong industry connections, then confirms the exact current tuition and intake dates before you enrol.
